Linear Actuators – General References
Linear actuators (LA) are electro-mechanic devices, which convert the high-power, small-step angle rotational motion of hybrid stepping motor rotor shafts into linear motion. Active actuators are available with which many motion, dispensing and position processes may be optimally executed in the most varied of areas. The LA designation comprises several series developed out of the combination of selected hybrid step motors and a standard range of mechanical transducer elements. Through the selection of the thread pitch, motor step angle and motor size, the precision, speed and axial load can be influenced across a broad range. The structural set-up determined the introduction of four basic series whose use is essentially dictated by the concrete operating conditions.
